Back in the Studio

It has been a long, dry season in the Chameleon Art Studios.  I felt burned out emotionally from real life events and it spilled over into creating. When the muse is not present, I don’t push it. I simply turn off the light and close the door and do other things. I am patient. I was confident I would return some day.

Yet lately, the muse has been whispering in my ear. Perhaps it has been redoing this site. More likely it is the spark of several ideas within only a few days, feverishly written down and research started.  For whatever reason I cannot put a creative finger to, I’m back to seeing ideas and becoming excited about making them.

There are a lot of tubs to rummage through and organize again. I’ve found a projects in mid flight (WIPs) which I can work on as I plan new classes, lectures and at least one new series. I rediscovered my treasure box of hand dyed threads. Beads and sequins sparkled from a shelf. The crow in me stretches her wings and takes off in a gentle breeze. And….I’m off.
